Small Things
Small Things

A wise man once said that the greatest demonstration of humility is continuous improvement — in the field of philosophy, many embrace this definition through the concept of: Kaizen. Setting aside terminological explanations, I want to mark down today two phrases (the first authored by the wise man, and the second, a circumscribed note by the author) that, stigmatized as they may be, continue to form part of my personality:
- — “Do not waste a single moment of your life. Focus even on the small things, however petty they may seem.”
- — “Sometimes what we can do instead of speaking is to understand the second verb that comes before understanding.”
For this reason, after many years of illusions and disillusions, I came to understand my childhood fondness: taking notes and trying to keep them for daily use — or better yet, literally for the use of a diary.
